Isolators BRL80
Recoil’s smart battery isolators are microprocessor-controlled, high-current relays used in dual-battery systems. They are designed to act as a solenoid priority system to protect the main battery from excessive discharge while allowing the auxiliary battery to power non-essential loads.
The dual-sensing smart isolators have an additional feature that allows for two-way charging, where the auxiliary battery can also be charged by an external source, such as solar panels or an external AC battery charger. This will also enable the main battery to be charged by the external source when the auxiliary battery reaches 13.2V, to help top off the main battery.
• Eliminates the discharge of multiple batteries.
• Prevents equipment from draining the main battery.
• The smart relay causes no voltage drop in the second battery.
• When the main battery reaches 13.2V, the smart relay connects the two batteries.
• When the system drops below 12.7V, it disconnects the two batteries.
• The dual-sensing feature allows for two-way charging if the auxiliary battery is charged by an external power source.
• Waterproof manual override switch.
