The design of the SAM65 tweeter requires an extremely time-consuming and labor-intensive process where a thin fabric diaphragm is formed into a dome and then coated with a special precision coating. SAM65 tweeters offer the most accurate, nuanced, and detailed high-frequency performance in the world.
The SAM65 midrange/woofer is built on a rigid, solid aluminum die-cast frame and features Edge’s distinctive coated paper cone. This innovative and unique paper cone has a precisely shaped, geometrically optimized form to enable smooth, optimized sound dispersion.
The 1-inch voice coil uses extremely lightweight aluminum wire wound on a Kapton former, the coil remains incredibly light to allow for ultra-fast movement.
The SAM65 is equipped with audiophile-grade two-way passive crossovers. Only the highest quality components are used, selected solely based on their acoustic properties. The extreme tuning and full flexibility of the crossovers allow the SAM65 to fully utilize its supreme performance capabilities.
